Then, Ben met Troy. Troy had previously worked in government and had helped build other successful software companies. After talking with 250+ government agencies, they realized the challenges weren’t just about permitting -  many agencies were relying on outdated technology to administer essential services that millions of citizens depend on, including licensing, permitting, code enforcement, fire inspections, and public works. 
Ben and Troy decided to start a company to build software that would help governments to expedite processes and simplify how citizens access essential services. GovWell was born!
